Welcome to my dry stone walling training portfolio galleries.

This is a collection of projects in which I participated during my time on The Dry Stone Walling Bursary Project. The 12 month Project was run by the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britan (DSWA). The base skills which I have, are a result of learning and walling with professional dry stone wallers on a day to day.

My main placement provider, Axis Walling, mentored me for most of the year. A second, short-term placement provider, Ox Stone Walling, introduced me to a different approach.

In addition to this everyday, learning on the job, eight weeks at various times throughout the year were dedicated to intensive walling sessions under the mentorship of the Master Craftsman at DSWA's headquaters in Crooklands.

The projects are a mixture of traditional dry stone walling and lime mortared stone walling, both of which have a place in the heritage of the land.

All projects completed during my placement will be accredited to my main placement provider, Axis Walling, unless otherwise stated.
