PROJECT 13

Wrose, Bradford

02.11.18 - 28.11.18
DSWA Placement with Axis Walling

This residential property boundary wall in Wrose, Shipley, used to be a field wall during the industrial era. Between 2 to 10 courses of stone buried in the clay earth.

Stripping down, digging out and sorting stone was long process. Rainy conditions made things slow with greater need for care when carrying stone from wall to sorting area.

Steps had to be dug out and levelled for entire length of wall. Heavy clay mud and icy morning conditions made progress slow. The Wrose dry stone wall project was a good example why it is important to have good relations with the neighbours. All the stone had to be sorted on a neighbour's lawn.
