PROJECT 1

Queensbury, Bradford

23.07.18 - 03.08.18
DSWA Placement with Axis Walling

This 10-day dry stone walling project in Queensbury, Bradford, involved repairing a garden wall. The wall with its heavy industrial tarring was probably build before or during the industrial period as a field wall.

Change of use came in 1990 when new homes were built in this area of Queensbury. The usage of the bottom 150cm of the wall was then converted into a 'retaining' wall, even though the wall structure remained as a double faced wall. Learning curve truly begins.
